How to extract audio from a video on iPhone

Sometimes you only need the sound — a lecture, a voice message, a song from a clip. SendReady saves a video's soundtrack as a small M4A audio file you can share or keep in Files.

Steps

  1. Open SendReady and tap Compress a video.
  2. Choose the video from Photos.
  3. Switch the mode to Audio only.
  4. Optional: trim to the part you want.
  5. Tap Extract audio (M4A), then Share or save to Files.

M4A vs MP3

M4A (AAC) is the format iPhone uses natively. It sounds as good as MP3 at a smaller size and plays on iPhone, Mac, Windows and Android.
