How to reduce photo size in KB on iPhone
Job portals, applications and government sites often reject photos over 200 KB, 500 KB or 1 MB. SendReady is a photo size reducer on your iPhone: it lowers quality, then resolution, until each photo fits the limit you choose.
Steps
- Open SendReady and tap Convert & Shrink Photos.
- Choose the photo (or several).
- Pick JPEG — most forms want it.
- Under Keep each photo under, choose 200 KB, 500 KB, 1 MB, 2 MB or 5 MB.
- Tap Convert, then upload the result.
KB vs MB
1 MB is 1,000 KB. A typical iPhone photo is 2–5 MB, so a 200 KB limit means shrinking it more than tenfold — SendReady handles that by lowering quality first and resolution only when it must.
Tips
- Check the form's pixel requirements too; very small limits also reduce resolution.
- If a photo can't reach the limit, SendReady saves the smallest version and tells you.
